This is a custom rack which allowed me to adjust the vertical position of the bike to minimize visual obstruction while keeping it from dragging on the ground. I don't feel it causes a hazard while driving, though adding another bike would add increase the visual obstruction.Bosque Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00001863270259847102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3983525105536347837.post-71063140885142755872022-03-20T16:13:04.531-06:002022-03-20T16:13:04.531-06:00Does anyone have a photo of a tacoma with bikes on...Does anyone have a photo of a tacoma with bikes on the front rack? I'm considering installing a front hitch/bike rack for an upcoming road trip with my camper in the bed. Like with the fleet there aren't good options with my chinook slide-in. My concern is for my vision to be obstructed by the bikes while driving. There's bigger truck photos online but i cant find a tacoma w. bike rack. Thanks in advance!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10474253579006437074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3983525105536347837.post-65669114368651610102019-03-26T06:21:25.133-06:002019-03-26T06:21:25.133-06:00Happy it worked out for you. Issues of height and clearance differ from a rear rack. Some folks put a cargo carrier on the front - that could be handy, both as the back fills quickly and to balance the rig.

I might get a hitch mounted winch some day. With the right wiring the winch could be attached front or back, which seems an advantage to me. Other folks attach hi-lift jacks in front.

Actually, I've read that some folks use them for your very "reason", to help them maneuver their trailers into awkward positions which is easier backwards… frontwards?Bosque Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00001863270259847102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3983525105536347837.post-52268687111342579622014-05-18T07:45:26.163-06:002014-05-18T07:45:26.163-06:00I assume this is to hold your bicycle rack.
